Ryan Segars serves as Principal, Executive Vice President, and Chief Investment Officer of MURAL Real Estate Partners, where he leads the firm’s Acquisitions and Capital Markets platforms. In this role, he oversees investment strategy, sourcing and execution, lender and equity relationships, and capital structuring across MURAL’s portfolio.
Ryan joined MURAL in December 2025, bringing more than two decades of institutional commercial real estate finance experience and a proven track record of originating, structuring, and managing complex transactions at scale. As a member of MURAL’s executive leadership team and a partner to the firm’s principals, he plays a central role in advancing disciplined growth, long-term value creation, and trusted capital partnerships.
Prior to joining MURAL, Mr. Segars served as Senior Vice President and Market Executive within EagleBank’s Commercial Real Estate Group, based in Bethesda, Maryland. A seasoned real estate banker, he brings extensive experience in business development, relationship management, and client retention. At EagleBank, he led a team and managed a portfolio representing nearly $1 billion in aggregate loan commitments.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Segars held commercial real estate lending roles at KeyBank, Builder’s Bank, Industrial Bank, and Wells Fargo. While at Wells Fargo, he completed the firm’s formal Credit Management Training Program in 1998, building a strong foundation in credit underwriting and risk management that continues to inform his approach to capital structuring and investment strategy.
Mr. Segars is deeply engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington and Casey Cares, a nonprofit organization that provides uplifting programs and activities for critically ill children and their families across eight states. From 2015 through 2020, he served on the Board of Directors of the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH), whose mission is to provide innovative access to safe housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families.
Mr. Segars earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Hampton University and a Master of Business Administration from Howard University’s School of Business.
